APC, PDP Are the Same, Former Presidential Aide Okupe Says (Watch Video)

A former senior aide to ex-Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan, Chief Doyin Okupe, says the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the country’s opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) are one and same.

According to the physician turned politician, there’s not much separating the two Nigerian political parties as seventy per cent of people who control power in the APC today were all members of the PDP.

Mr Okupe stated this on Friday when he featured on an ARISE News programme, monitored by our correspondent.

Of recent, there is have been leadership trouble in PDP, as some members of the party are calling for the resignation of the National Chairman of the Party, Chief Uche Secondus while in APC, there is issue of legality of the caretaker committee chairman of the party, Mai Mala Buni, who is also the incumbent Governor of Yobe state.

Okupe also said the whole uproar of national officers resigning in the PDP, as well as the crisis rocking the APC, are just moves towards the 2023 elections.

He mentioned the present and former governors of Ogun state as members who have held sway in the PDP but now find themselves as leaders in the APC.
